We do not have a lot of pictures of our Sweet guy. He is from an orphanage that does not do a lot of adoptions. We are blessed to be a part of a wonderful group who have adopted or are who share what photos they have and we have been able to spot Samuel in them.
Samuel came to the orphanage as an infant. When a little one is abandoned in China they run a "Finding Ad" in the local newspaper for two months, so the family can find their child if they have gone missing.
Samuel's Ad is on the bottom row and second from the left. He was left in the lobby of a hospital. His birth family had to know he was very sick. He has Tetralogy of Fallot, a heart condition, and was very blue in his lips, hands, and feet. He was literally dying and needed an operation to save his life. I can't imagine the pain they must have gone through, and they must have cared for him to leave him somewhere he could be found and given the help he desperately needed.
This picture is believed to have been taken last winter. Samuel is in the center in the orange jacket.
This picture was taken in 2009 when he would have been three years old.

What a fortunate little guy and what a blessed family are we!! Can't wait to meet the newest Mister Mister!! Be safe ~ love ya!! Mom
ReplyDeleteI love this Cavanaugh is on the same page of the finding ad - top right
ReplyDeleteOh Renee!! I've just spent hours laughing and crying my way through these posts. My children will have to forgive me for ignoring them. :) I am so happy for your family. You are such s blessing to so many. My favorite things to read about were your meeting and the matchbox cars and the funniest thing was your hubbys comment about being parsley!
